FAN THE FLAME!

 

As our culminating event for the 2008-2009 year, 47 youth and adults went to Wesley Woods for a two night retreat! Together, we sang songs, prayed, played, and learned about letting our lights shine for God!

 

At this retreat, we elected Youth Officers to be a part of the planning team for our District Youth Events.  This summer, we take a break from our District Youth Activities, but stay tuned to what we'll be doing, starting in September.

FREE CONCERT

When: June 11th at 6 p.m.

Where: Edison Park UMC

What: Hip Hop Concert!!

 

Bang, Bang You're Dead

When: July 4th - 26, 2009

Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 1:30 pm

FREE Admission

Where: Edison Park UMC

 

Junior High Summer Mission Trip

When: August 10-13, 2009

Where: Marseilles, IL

Goals for 2008-2009:
 
- High quality, transformative events that foster spiritual growth, fellowship, and leadership of youth
 
- Greater Involvement of more churches from all over the District
 
- Build relationships that provide support and growth for all youth workers
 
- Raise $5,800 for Nothing But Nets
 
- Create a District Council on Youth Ministry
