The Chicago Northwestern District of the Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church is one of the most diverse districts in the world! We are comprised of 58 different congregations, speaking a multitude of languages, from all over the northwest parts of Chicagoland! And yet, we all worship our one magnificent God!
The District Youth program is currently run by teams of individual leaders who help put together events and invite the entire District to participate. This year we have several really fun and exciting events! Youth are students in 6th through 12th grade, and it's really exciting to get everyone together.
Would you like to be involved? Anyone is welcome to help plan and put together our events. These small groups are called Design Teams, and the Design Teams work on every aspect of a retreat and day event. Youth and adults are welcome.
New for 2009-2010 year - we will be developing a District Youth Council on Ministry! We will elect Youth Officers at the end of year retreat in May. All youth who are interested are encouraged to ask for more details!
